A new water pumping station in Harrington Park was an interesting project for our team. The pumping station was designed as a steel structure placed on top of foundation concrete, and the walls were made of precast concrete panels.
While this was primarily steel structure project, it was heavily intertwining with concrete. With steel structure being our scope of the project, we needed to properly predict all connection with cast in anchors, chemical anchors, brackets and ferrules. Project contained of main structure with crane rails, purlin mezzanine floor, walkways and stairs around the pump, and outer pits. The main model was split into sub models to be issued and sent to the workshop separately, and later merged for main general arrangements.
This project exemplifies outstanding engineering, seamlessly integrating with existing concrete structures while accurately predicting all necessary connections. It showcases our precision and excellence across various types of structural designs.
